Our Story

Long ago in a galaxy far, far away.....

Left Coast Marketingis a full service Marketing & Creative Agency specializing in Marketing, Design, Print, Photography & Custom Publishing with offices in Napa and Sonoma Counties and have serviced over 100 clients since we launched back in 2008.

The culture of our company is different from a lot of creative agencies. To begin with, we have a foundation in photography (it takes a lot of milk to make a little cheese) and love marketing and promoting our clients’ products. We also hold a simple set of values near and dear to our hearts:

  1. Customer Service is our #1 Service

  2. Project Management is in our DNA

  3. Love What You Do.

  4. Love Who You Work With

  5. Work + Life = Balance

Fortunately we have the opportunity to work with not only a fun energetic team (we are all hippies at heart) but we are also very, very lucky to work with some great clients who appreciate all that we do for them week in and week out.
Oh yeah. We like to play hard too.

We have really unique challenges because we feature so many wines from so many winemakers, and we want to do it in a way that is different than the rest of the wine business. Q: What do you do for fun?

Family + Friends = Fun.  I love to spend time with my family and friends.  I know….that’s what everyone says but it’s true.  I love to through a good party; I’d rather be the hostess than the attendee.  It’s fun decorating our house, planning a menu and then celebrating. It doesn’t matter to me if it’s just a couple coming over for dinner or a full house – let’s have fun! When I’m not entertaining, you will find me in the craft room or out on the ski slopes. In the winter, I’m more likely to be up in Tahoe than at home!

Q: If you could share a meal with any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

There are two:  1) Walt Disney.  I love his quote “Remember, this all started with a mouse.”  He came from a simple life and created so much. It makes me stop and think that some of the greatest achievements in life, start small, with an idea.  Secondly would be Princess Diana…but only if we get to have dinner in the palace!  Perhaps it’s the Disney lover in me but I’ve always wanted to meet a princess! I think she lived with such style and grace and truly strived to make the world a better place.

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

Well, I guess you could say the people who were watching the Price isRight on January 20, 1999 already know this but, since the odds that you were one of those people are pretty small, I’ll let you in on my little secret.  I was a contestant on the Price is Right!  Yep, I got to spin the wheel and everything. I’ll tell you all about it over a drink one day.  Another fact that you must know is that I am petrified of the dark.  Hate it. Won’t go into dark rooms.  Nope.  Don’t even ask. I just won’t do it. PG&E loves me in the winter when it gets dark early!

Chelsea Bond - DESIGNER

Q: What do you do for fun?

I love to create, whether it be choreographing or painting, writing poetry or singing, or making jewelry and designing clothes.  Each passion holds a hand with another.  My mascots, a dog and a cat, keep me company and help me fertilize the yard when I work in the garden.  They also listen to my "sit-down" comedy bits when I have the funny streak.  When I feel like I've created enough, stretching in silence, picking an angel card, and going for a drive through the mountains is what brings me peace.

Q: If you could share a meal with any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

Set me up a meeting with Einstein, and I think I could get him to give me the key to the universe.  Science and engineering is at the base of all creation.  I would love to pick his brain and write a life-plan off of our conversation.  He must have unwritten secrets and hunches; if only I could get inside his vault of information to unlock the world!

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

Everybody knows everything. I pretty much exploit myself on the internet.

Robin Gordon - Wine Country Lifestyle editor & project manager

Q: What do you do for fun?

I’m a busy mom, so I love spending time with my two year old (and have another one on the way!). I do Yoga to relax and I’m a total foodie – I love pairing our amazing local wines and foods.

Q: If you could share a meal with any any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

I’m currently obsessed with Debbie Millman. Her life’s work in design and marketing is an inspiration. She has a podcast that I listen to over coffee early in the morning when everyone in my house is asleep.

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

Right out of high school I worked in an office for a tour company that took women to exotic places around the world. One day their tour guide quit unexpectedly and they told me to go home and pack a bag, that I was taking the next group of women on tour. From that moment on, I caught the travel bug and spent most of my twenties on adventures.

MALLORY ANDERSON - PROJECT COORDINATOR

Q: What do you do for fun?

For fun I do hot yoga/pilates. It sounds terrible and not fun, but once you try it you’ll never want to quit!

Q: If you could share a meal with any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

Hands down Ansel Adams. I remember being in photography class in high school and looking through books of his photographs and being inspired to do photography. His work is spectacular and I would love to sit down and enjoy a meal with him.

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

Everyone knows everything about me.

TONY IMMORDINO - WEB DEVELOPMENT

Q: What do you do for fun?

I am an active person, and I have the most fun outdoors exploring.  I love taking the dog for new hikes around Sonoma County or out at the coast.  On a sunny day you can find me paddling and swimming the Russian River or playing a round of golf with friends.  When winter comes look for me in the mountains, one of my biggest passions is snowboarding!

Q: If you could share a meal with any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

I think it would be awesome to share a picnic in Yosemite with John Muir.  His writing and works in conservation are an inspiration to me. If not John Muir, I would also take a table for 2 with Bob Marley, preferably some place where we can have our feet in the sand.

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

When I was a kid you could occasionally find me gracing the stage of local theaters.  My parents are long time actors and musicians and they would often recruit me and my sister to join them on stage for local plays and productions.  Many embarrassing, but fun, family memories.

Dan Chapin - co-founder, chief marketer

Q: What do you do for fun?

I spend a lot of time with my family and my 2 beautiful daughters. When I get a chance to get some solo time I like to ride by bike, hike and get out on the golf course. I am trying to walk the course a bit more these days. And when I want to let off some steam I like to connect with my old college buddies who are scattered all over California which keeps things interesting.

Q: If you could share a meal with any artist living or dead, who would it be and why?

I would like to have dinner on top of the Space Needle with Steve Jobs and Walt Disney. They are role models in being able to drive innovation, motivate people to operate at the highest levels, and most importantly inspire others to be creative and tap into their inner artists.

Q: What is something that nobody knows about you and/or your life adventures?

I lived in Scotland and Germany when I was 3 years old. I must have gotten bit by the travel bug then because that is what I love to do. Most people know I was fortunate to study abroad when I was in school in one of the most beautiful places on earth...San Sebastian, Spain. If I could live anywhere it would be Maui where my family and I go as often as we can afford to travel (and that’s where I treat myself to my favorite hobby scuba diving).
